Erica & Kris

I had the great pleasure of doing Erica and Kris's maternity pictures.  When you do a lot of e-mailing and talking on the phone with clients, you aren't always prepared for who actually shows up to the shoot:)  I could not have been more happy with the fact of how great these two were!!  They were so nice and friendly and look at how perfect Erica looks to be having a baby in about a month!!!  Getting to know them I got to hear the wonderful story of how they had tried for so long to get pregnant but had some difficulties.  Two weeks after they had sent in all their paper work to apply for adoption, they found out they were pregnant:)  Just another story of how precious life is and how everything happens for a reason.

WPPI, Wedding and Portrait Photographers International, is an annual convention held in Vegas.  I got back today and I'm so excited to apply all the new things I learned to my work.  I took so many notes that it will take me a couple weeks to go through everything and understand exactly what I wrote!!!   I also got to catch up with a bunch of my college friends,  and hear how their photography studios were doing.  It was really nice to be at a point in my life where I am completely happy with where my career is going.  I really think that this year is going to be one of those landmark years for me and I can't wait to see how my work grows!!!!

First Blog

Hi Everyone-

  I just wanted to finally get the hang of this whole blogging thing:)  For those of you who don't know, my name is Brooke and I'm a photographer in Myrtle Beach, SC.  I am fortunate enough to be a graduate of the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, CA.  After many life experiences, I have landed in Myrtle Beach and established Brooke Christl Photography.  I would like to thank all of my clients from 2008 for all their support.  I look forward to working with you again soon.  I also want to say how excited I am to work with all the new clients I am booking for 2009.  I am so anxious to make this the best year ever.
